That's the place all good Macon sailors want to be for the next great reunion. Make your reservations early and often. Savannah's a great town and the DeSoto Hilton is right in the middle of it all. The room rate is $119.00 a night plus tax and city fee per night and the rate is good the day before and after. The registration fee is $100.00 per perspm and includes the banquet, hospitality suite, memorial book, band and registration material. The reservation deadline is April 22, 2013. The phone number for reservations is: 1-877-280-0751. If you want to take a tour, there are a lot of them, see the concierge in the lobby, they will set one up for you. There are many and varied at all times of the day and evening. As those of you who were there before already know, the hotel has an underground garage. They've contracted with an outside company to run the garage. It's strictly valet parking and costs $13.00 a day. If you drive just turn your vehicle over to the attendent in front of the hotel. There is no tipping. Make sure to let them know your with the Macon. For those who are flying in, the taxi ride to the hotel runs between $26.00 and $28.00.
